About us

MAKE NTNU is a voluntary student organization that works for a better environment for project development, both in private and educational contexts, for all students and employees at NTNU. Our statutes can be found here (in Norwegian).

Our vision is to create an engaging and inclusive maker culture, where everyone with creative ideas will have the opportunity to realize their projects. We therefore run the makerspace – known as Makerverkstedet – on the U1 floor of Realfagbygget, where a wide range of equipment like 3D printers, sewing machines, soldering equipment, etc. is at your disposal. The workshop is open and accessible to students and employees 24 hours a day, and only the 3D printers require a course to use.

Read more about the workshop on this page.

To spark interest, creativity and enthusiasm, we at MAKE NTNU hold courses for students and employees, where our mentors go through the use of the various equipment we have available. If you want to put your skills to the test or just meet other like-minded people, we also arrange workshops with a multitude of exciting themes!

Does this sound exciting, but you're not sure where to start? Take a detour to Makerverkstedet and have a casual chat with one of our supervisors! The workshop is staffed from 12:15 to 18:00 Monday to Thursday and 12:15 to 16:00 on Fridays, except during examination periods or vacations. If you have any questions or requests, you can also reach us on Facebook and Slack, and via email – see the buttons in the footer at the bottom of the page.
