Makerspace

The makerspace is located on the U1 floor in Realfagbygget at Gløshaugen and is open 24/7 for all students and staff at NTNU.

The workshop is operated by MAKE NTNU, a student organization that works to make it easier for students to build, prototype, and realize their own projects.

Staffing

Even though the workshop is open all day and night, it is also staffed by supervisors from MAKE NTNU.

Staffed hours:

  • Monday – Friday: 12:15 – 18:00

Please note that opening hours may vary during exam periods and holidays.

If you have questions about equipment or projects, you are always welcome to have a chat with one of the supervisors.


Equipment

The makerspace has a wide range of equipment available for students and staff.

This includes, among other things:

  • 3D printers

  • Computers for 3D modeling

  • Soldering stations

  • Sewing machines

  • Electronics equipment

  • Signal generator

  • Oscilloscope

The workshop is designed for both beginners and experienced users, and our supervisors can help you get started.


3D Printers

The printer room with 3D printers is available to students and staff who have:

This ensures that the printers are used correctly and that everyone has access to the equipment.
